When the Wraith Prism is connected to your motherboard using the USB header, the Coolermaster Wraith Prism Utility will have full control over all zones on the Wraith Prism including chase effects etc. When the 4 pin connector on the Wraith Prism is connected to your RGB header on the motherboard, RGB Fusion will control and sync the Wraith Prism Fan LED, but NOT the outer ring LED or the AMD logo LED (these will always remain at default which is rainbow for the ring led and white for the AMD logo) I also had these issues and this is what I've found from my testing. I hope this cleared up some confusion.I recently bought the 2700X and Gigabyte X470 Ultra Gaming. I can even control the colors from my MSI motherboard software. In my case, I had downloaded the wrong version of the driver software. It took me a while to figure it out, but once I had the above setup, the software worked. Each driver version is only looking for the model of cooler it is tailored for, so make sure that in your case, you download and run the WRAITH PRISM software. For instance, you cannot use Wraith Prism software with a Wraith Max cooler. The software you use should match the model of Wraith cooler you have. The cooler can ONLY be connected to a standard USB 2.0 header. FYI, I'm guessing the AMD USB HEADER on your motherboard is proprietary and is not compatible with this cooler. In this state, the software will not be able to communicate with the cooler. If the RGB wire is connected, the controller will default to using the RGB control and USB control will be turned off. For color control, however, ONLY the USB wire should be connected to a USB 2.0 header. Of course, for fan control, the fan header should always be connected to the CPU fan control header on the motherboard. There are two conditions that must be met in order for the Wraith software to work:
